Influence of birth order on a person with a focus on middle children
Sasová, Viktorie ; Kuba, Radim (advisor) ; Šebánková, Blanka (referee)
Family represents one of the key environmental factors significantly influencing individuals. Previous studies have shown that the way a person is influenced within this environment i also determined by the role they occupy within the family. One of the related factors can be, among others, the birth order. It may play a role in shaping personality trats among siblings and influencing their life attitudes. For a better understanding of the effects of birth order, this work first addresses the differences between siblings from an evolutionary and ecological perspective, identifies the main factors influencing the birth order effect, and describes the tge characteristics of each specific birth order type. The work provides insights into the issue of birth order's influence, with particular focus on middle-born children, in relation to their personality, sexual behavior, and psychological specificities of middleborns. Research has shown that birth order has a significant effect on middle-born children, particularly in the areas of prosocial behavior, sexual strategy, and manifestations of self- harming or suicidal behavior. However, there is a relatively limited number of atudies specifically addressing the influence of birth order on middlborns. Additionally, many of these studies were published...
Negotiating consent and sexual intimacy in the Czech Republic
Aoufová, Anisa ; Hasmanová Marhánková, Jaroslava (advisor) ; Grygar, Jakub (referee)
The diploma thesis entitled Negotiating consent and sexual intimacy in the Czech Republic is devoted to sexual consent and its problematic definition. The aim of the thesis is to find out how experts in the field of criminal law, specifically lawyers, perceive the limits of consensual behavior in the Czech Republic. Lawyers play a key role in shaping the legal system and have a great influence on public attitudes. The thesis focuses on the definition of sexual consent and the factors that influence the definition of sexual consent in society. These factors include cultural attitudes, social myths, sexual scripts and the legal system of a given society. The thesis is further focused on sexual consent in the field of criminal law, on the definition of rape in the Czech legal system and on its practical shortcomings. The possibility of redefinition of rape and the influence of participants in criminal proceedings on this issue are analyzed. The practical part is aimed at lawyers who deal with criminal law. The thesis is focused on the "weaknesses" of the current legal system, and it was examined how lawyers who navigate the legal system evaluate the currently set system, how they define sexual consent and its transgression, how they frame the social discussion and how their gender ideas manifest...
Hormonal control of male sexual behaviour in reptiles
Schořálková, Tereza ; Kratochvíl, Lukáš (advisor) ; Landová, Eva (referee)
The most important hormone affecting typical male sexual behavior in reptiles is testosterone, but also other steroid hormones such as dihydrotestosterone, estrogens or progestins may be involved in this regulation. According to the organizational-activational hypothesis testosterone acting during early ontogenic stage has an organizational effect on adult behavior and this behavior is triggered by influence of recent levels of hormones. Moreover, it was formulated the hypothesis on temporary organization of male sexual behvior that could change existing interpretations. Reptile reproductive strategies use to be classified according to gametogenesis and steroidogenesis as associated or dissociated reproductive strategies howerever, this division is rather artificial. This review summarizes existing knowledge of the hormonal influence of sexual behavior in reptiles, and comments the most common methods.

The idea of the dissertation study is to capture in the historical-literary form Spejbl and Hurvínek Theatre's history, characters of its personalities, marionettes, events, and introduced theatre performances in the years 1939-1990, (from the outset of the prof. Josef Skupa's professional puppetry in Pilsen in the protectoral time, through Skupa's theatrical Prague engagement after 2nd World War, over the era of dramatic acting of Miloš Kirschner, Helena Štáchová, and Martin Klásek in the socialistic period, and during normalization years, up to the capitalistic regime transformation. The graduate set up a goal of creating a media reflection of the Spejbl and Hurvinek Theatre's events, which had been noticed and evaluated by the Czechoslovak and Czech mass period daily press - (by the far-right wing fascist magazines Vlajka (1939-40) and Árijský boj (1940), by the left orientated, socialistic newspapers Rudé právo(1948,52,53,55,57,58,59,67,72,75,79,80,82,83,84,85,86,87,88), Svobodné slovo(1959,66,69,77,80,82,83,84,85,87), Mladá fronta (1957,66,75,77,81,82,84,87), by the Christian- Democratic-Conservative paper Lidová demokracie(1966,71,74,77,78,79,81,82,84,85,86,87,88), the Evening Press - Večerní Praha (1969,82), and by the right-wing, capitalistic paper - Mladá fronta Dnes (1990). In the winter months (December to March) at the times from 9.00 to 16.00 hrs., And in April and May 2016 in time from 9.00 to 18.00 pm. The total observation period reached 240 hours. In the last part we dealt with in detail during grooming. Tests confirmed the existence of a clear linear hierarchy based on agonistic interactions. The results showed that move around the enclosure depends on...

Bibliografický záznam ŠÍP, Michal. Vztah občanské participace a hédonistického životního způsobu u mladistvých. Praha: Karlova univerzita, Fakulta sociálních věd, Institut sociologických studií, 2015. 133 stran, Vedoucí diplomové práce Doc. PhDr. Pavol Frič, Ph.D. Anotace Diplomová práce "Vztah občanské participace a hédonistického životního způsobu u mladistvých" zkoumá, do jaké míry je oprávněné hledat příčinu nízké hodnoty občanské participace mladistvých v hédonistickém životním způsobu.
Hormonal control of male traits in leopard gecko, Eublepharis macularius
Schořálková, Tereza ; Kratochvíl, Lukáš (advisor) ; Rehák, Ivan (referee)
It is generally believed that the presence of male traits is regulated by androgens. This thesis is designed to reveal the influence of testosterone on male traits in the leopard gecko, Eublepharis macularius. The noninvasive skin application mixture of vegetable oil and testosterone was used to manipulate the hormonal status of females and castrated males. This method has proven to be an effective alternative to the widely used hormonal implants. Manipulation was successfully validated, and there was apparent progressive increase of male sexual behavior in both groups. In females, the onset lasted much longer time, but both groups were able to perform all components of males sexual behaviour. Furthermore, I found that, contrary to widespread view, male sexual behavior persisted several weeks after reduction of testosterone levels in both manipulated groups. These results bring new evidence for temporary organization of male sexual behaviour by testosterone. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
